List of monitoring software

[edit]

This page could use a list (or a link to a list) of web site monitoring software.

That's a good idea - it took us a while to find the right solution. I hope this helps.

Guys this is crazy. You spam even here. I am removing all the spam links from this page and from the main article.

Also, I really doubt that a FAQ page on one of the commercial services may be considered an unbiased source of information, I'm removing that link as well.

I like Skype, but IM (Instant Messenger) is already listed; it would make more sense to do "IM (eg Skype)" —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chinoto1 (talkcontribs) 16:23, 19 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Availability table - "nines" vs deltas (σ)

[edit]

The table showing availability had inaccuracies.

99% uptime is not 1σ, nor 2σ. A delta is a measure from a standard deviation. E.g., 1σ covers 68.3%. 2σ covers 95.4%.

In comparison, availability is normally measured in terms of nines. So I switched to those units of measurement.
