Preston Ware

[edit]

What year did he die? 1891 or 1890. http://www.chessbase.com/newsdetail.asp?newsid=2117 ChessCreator (talk) 01:13, 14 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Ware Opening Today

[edit]

If an experienced player adopts 1 a4, the game normally turns into a King's Indian Defense in reverse. White follows up, as needed, with Nf3, d3, g3, Bg2, etc. The pawn on a4 can prove useful in such a set-up. --Abenr (talk) 15:33, 10 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Usage amongst children

[edit]

I remarked that little children for their very first chess games use this opening, because it seems so logical. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.238.218.27 (talk) 18:53, 3 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

How does it seem logical for a child? --2001:16B8:31D8:E900:5912:E699:FB78:D4F7 (talk) 03:19, 7 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
