Did you know nomination

[edit]

  • ... that Walter Franklin Anderson taught Coretta Scott King and she called him "a superb musician and a brilliant educator, ... one of the kindest and most caring human beings I have had the privilege of knowing"?
Created by Lynngol (talk). Number of QPQs required: 2. DYK is currently in unreviewed backlog mode and nominator has 47 past nominations. 0. Nominator has fewer than 5 past nominations.

Mitigate close paraphrasing

[edit]

Hi @Lynngol, thanks for writing about an interesting person! Can you take a look at this comparison and Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing? It looks like some of the phrasing and ordering of material is fairly close to the cited Black Past article. This can be mitigated - for example, you can rewrite parts more in your own words and enrich it with more of the material from other cited sources. Thank you! Many thanks for your comment. I made as many changes as I could to the article. It seems to me that most of the remaining items that come up are names ( which I can't change) and quotes (which are attributed and listed in quotations and italics). If you think there is something else that I can do, please let me know. Lynngol (talk) 08:44, 6 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you! Agree, even if direct quotes and names of things are flagged as matching, they are not relevant to close paraphrasing. Dreamyshade (talk) 18:54, 6 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
