Viktor AxmannVladoje Aksmanović – Because he changed his name to Vladoje Aksmanović in 1922, and because he is buried under that name at Jewish part of the cemetery Sv. Ana, Osijek Plot: Parcel VI, Grave 1, Class 27. 00:32, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

  • Comment on the face of it a first look tends to favour the German-Jewish name. Osječki zbornik - Volumes 22-23 1997 - Page 234 English abstract has "Vladoje Aksmanović (Viktor Axmann by real name) ", tourist guidebooks use Axmann, the gravestone, well is that the original communist-labour-camp-name assigned gravestone from 1946 or has it been erected more recently by relatives and the local Jewish community? .....on a side note, there's no information on how Axmann survived (and whether his family did or didn't) WWII. • Oppose per WP:UCN. According to Google Books search, it's 86-6 in favor of Axmann, and it is reasonable to presume a similar ratio would be found in scholarly English-language sources in general. "Birth name" vs "other names" does not come into the equation (cf. Bill Clinton, Lady Gaga per WP:UCN). GregorB (talk) 13:33, 2 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
