So i do not understand that deletion stuff. But anyway, can this article please clarify, why modern 3d accelerators do no use overlays, but video decoders do? I mean: what is the motivation for overlay in an all-digital environment? Otherwise we should write that as of 2009 it is a historic technique still present due to backwards compatibility issues. 1550 nm overlay for Video in PON technologies?
