It would be great to have a pre-demolition, pre-fire photograph. mysid () 14:11, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Article hard to understand

[edit]

There's a few elements of this article hard to understand. I don't know if they're errors, or just poorly written.

  • The demolition began on May 6, 2006 but On Friday May 5, 2006, the older southern warehouse was badly damaged by a blazing fire. Are these dates correct? Surely the fire would cause a delay in a planned demolition for various reasons? Or did the demolition result from the fire?
  • in August 2006, the Finnish police mistakenly tore down part of the protected section; now perhaps I shouldn't question the way things work in Finland, but surely, do police do building demolitions there? This is most peculiar.
  • the previous two sentences in that paragraph (before the stuff about the police demolitions) are also very confusing; to paraphrase: part of the building was to be preserved, contrary to Helsinkian wishes, which was to preserve the building. Huh?

Can someone rewrite this and fix up the references. --jjron (talk) 10:46, 26 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I think these are now fixed. --Yaamboo (talk) 08:04, 12 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Why would Finns riot over anything?
