VprBP or DCAF1?

- Reading the associated articles showed that there wasn't a hard rule between picking VprBP or DCAF1 when referring to this protein. Consequently, I stuck with DCAF1 for this article since that's the more modern name and connects the protein to its broader cellular role, but it should be known that a lot of researchers were using the name VprBP even outside of its viral or historical context. Idrk how serious this topic is, but I thought it would be good to at least write down my reasoning for why I picked the name I did for posterity. Garlicbread1919 (talk) 21:01, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
