The Spanish page writes the full name of VAPE as "Vehículo Argentino de Apoyo a la Exploración". This is the name found in Piñeiro, Luis F. (August 2006). "VAE-VAPE". ISSN1669-7332.; The Russian page writes the full name as "Vehículo Anfibio Pesado de Exploración", which is the name found in Fogliani, Ricardo (1997).
