Audience query.

[edit]

Greetings - I read where Upstart Crow was filmed before a live audience, that it's not "canned laughter" in the background. Was this so? David Mitchell pauses briefly during some of the laughter, seemingly as a response to a live audience reaction. Do the Brit-coms ever use "canned laughter" (aka "laugh track")? @Wordreader If you don't get an answer here, you can try Wikipedia:Reference desk/Entertainment. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 08:39, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Yea, I can confirm that recordings were made in front of a live audience. having attended a recording myself! 2A00:23CC:D24C:3601:C041:D068:12F6:2ECA (talk) 23:16, 7 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
