So how did the dispute turn out? What updates on the negotiations were received?John Paul Parks (talk) 15:54, 30 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Background section

[edit]

This article concerns a UN Security Council resolution dated 1946. The text in this section suggests that the election of Truman signaled a more aggressive, anti-Soviet stance on the part of the US. Truman was not elected US president until 1948. So a conclusive statement concerning the impact of Truman’s election on this resolution seems a non sequitur. Truman was president at the time this resolution was passed, but had risen to the position as FDR’s successor upon the letter’s death. Poxenator (talk) 21:26, 7 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
