[edit]I'd add the things on specs like size, weight, materials, etc. potentially into the bio as it looks a little bit cluttered and harder to find. Eruditeorigamiartist (talk) 13:43, 2 November 2025 (UTC)
- Additionally if we can get some more citations (inlcuding from reference materials like books) and information on materials I think this has great potential. Is there anything like notable servicemen? Eruditeorigamiartist (talk) 13:47, 2 November 2025 (UTC)
- What kind of materials would you like information for? Weight breakdowns are often rare, hard to find, and difficult for the average reader to understand. Or am I misunderstanding, and you mean the tonnage and size of Rockville? GGOTCC 17:05, 2 November 2025 (UTC)
- Tonnage and size are good too! Displacement I believe is perhaps the more apt term in this subject? I've also seen tons in steel and wood used as well. I hear the average reader thing, but if we have a sidebar of all of the specs these would be some I'd like to see as well. Eruditeorigamiartist (talk) 07:47, 3 November 2025 (UTC)
- regardless I think there's enough citations here on most of this to post and if need be you can always add in a citation request in the editor Eruditeorigamiartist (talk) 07:58, 3 November 2025 (UTC)
- You are more than welcome to find more citations! I hit a brick wall in my research for the ship. GGOTCC 17:06, 2 November 2025 (UTC)
- Unfortunately I knew someone who'd know where to find this, but sadly they passed. I think for something of this nature we'd need a library with old reference books/encyclopedias on the subject of naval vessels or something from the DoD(DoW now?) or the USN themselves or records from the shipyards. I don't think we'll find much online. Another option is making a request to one of their libraries\databases and getting scans/the info, but if they're not properly citeable that could entail an issue of WP (although we can quote them and/or do some other work arounds for citing). I'm sorry if one of the above was already covered in the article and I missed it! Eruditeorigamiartist (talk) 07:54, 3 November 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry, I see that displacement and size are there, but I've also seen these figures displayed alongside things like weight in materials if they exist. Eruditeorigamiartist (talk) 07:56, 3 November 2025 (UTC)
