Can we get a cost estimate for USAF-96? Cost is one of its apparent selling points (and Eglin's), so it would be helpful to have some detail and context there.

Me too. Conventional steel, very similar stuff by chemistry, costs about US$ 600/tonne (2020) in the largest quantity, before fabrication. Also, most manufactured items cost (not sell-for) about US$ 20/kilo. It looks to me like the weird thing about this material is that it might make sense to do the precipitation heat treat after fabrication. I have no idea about the resulting costs, however.
