If the Japanese Kana writing is correct, the pronunciation is wrong (should be with a short "u"). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.50.59.73 (talk) 18:55, 15 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Phylogeny

[edit]

The phylogeny is sorely outdated. See [Feng et al. 2021] for most current and best supported phylogeny of the genus. 2600:6C5A:443F:6E54:590B:8C83:5F20:20D (talk) 20:18, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

The sources for the current phylogeny also don't seem to support it that well. As in they focus more broadly on gymnosperms as a whole and have only a few representatives of Tsuga, not most or all of the genus. I plan to change the phylogeny tomorrow to better fit the current understanding of the genus' phylogeny. MaxBad05 (talk) 00:40, 5 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Missing text

[edit]

The Phylogeny section is missing some text at the very beginning. It starts "disagreed […]". I don't know what the missing text should be, but perhaps the original author can fill it in. Thank you! icedtea1954 (talk) 11:03, 31 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

I removed the sentence that had the missing text, as it appears to be similar to the text that came afterwards. I assume it was some redundancy and typos that caused it. The words I deleted have no discernable meaning to them, so I removed them either way. Should the original author review this, I hope they either re-edit the page to add the missing info or agree with my decision. MaxBad05 (talk) 00:35, 5 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
