Greek life and dormitories
[edit]This section is unusual for an article about big universities. The contents are completely unreferenced and since it is just a rote list of various societies without any further detail, I question whether there is any useful information being shared here. I propose deletion. The same goes for the buildings, which are referenced only by internal links. -- Melchior2006 (talk) 18:47, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
- Rather than deletion of the Greek society lists, consider a rewrite to a brief paragraph stating what kinds of Greek organizations are on campus, but without lists. This paragraph would need a citation, naturally. Qflib, aka KeeYou Flib (talk) 11:49, 20 April 2023 (UTC)

Campus Changes
[edit]There have been some changes and relocations on campus that relate to the accuracy of the "Campus" section. Specifically, the last two paragraphs could be changed to something like this. There are a few other changes I could suggest to this page, but I wanted to make sure this method of suggesting changes worked before adding new topics. COI disclosure, I am a University employee.
There are six main academic buildings. Magruder Hall is the science building and houses the departments of Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Agriculture. McClain Hall serves as both an administrative and academic building. For the academic portion, Classical & Modern Languages, Economics, English & Linguistics, History, Philosophy & Religion, Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology, and Justice Systems can be found there. Baldwin Hall is connected to McClain Hall and houses the campus auditorium that is best known for hosting cultural events through the Kohlenberg Lyceum Series. Violette Hall, named after former history professor E.M. Violette, is home to the School of Business, the Mathematics and Computer Science, Education and Psychology. Ophelia Parrish (OP) is home to the Art, Music, and Theatre Departments; it is named after Ms. Ophelia Parrish (1850-1915), the college's first librarian. Finally, the Pershing Building, also home to the basketball team's Pershing Arena, houses the Departments of Health and Exercise Science, Communication Disorders and Nursing.
The Kirk Building houses many student services including the student health center, career center, and writing center. The health center is closed on the weekends and holidays. The career center is located on the first floor and provides help to students in determining a career path, selecting a major, developing career skills, helping put together a resume, or even conducting mock interviews. The writing center is located on the second floor and offers critique and editing for student papers.
