Changed 8-methyl-8-aza-bicyclo[3.2.1]octane to 8-methyl-8-aza-bicyclo[1,2,3]octane; please change it back if I'm incorrect (this is based on 1st year IUPAC stuff that's getting rather dusty these days...) 202.72.148.102 04:56, 10 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Other Tropanes

[edit]

Methylecgonine Cinnamate, benzoylecgonine, and ecgonine are also tropanes not listed in this category. Eddietoran 04:13, 20 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

IUPAC name

[edit]

Is the written IUPAC name correct? It's true that the structure has 8 carbon atoms. But one of them is in the methyl group which is attached to the nitrogen atom and is not part of the backbone. So I think it should'nt be octane, but heptane. Aminabzz (talk) 13:33, 22 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
