Would it make more sense to split Tritan copolyester and Tritan glass into separate articles with a disambiguation page? They're entirely unrelated, and just have confusingly similar names. The current shared article is confusing because references aren't clearly distinguished between the two. Ryan (talk) 05:56, 24 January 2024 (UTC)
High temperature confusion
[edit]I'd like more robust confirmation of Tritans' high temperature durability - since Aeropress uses this material, and encounters water straight from a boiled kettle. Eastman's site claims a 'exceptional resistance to heat' and again here .
The current source used on the wiki page mentions formation of micro cracks at higher heat, which is refuted by this page from Eastman.
In the technical document for Tritan we see a deflection temp at a certain pressure, however I do not know if the end user should be concerned (eg. is 96 PSI at 95°c a condition we would ever see someone use this material at?) Rudantu (talk) 09:09, 6 January 2026 (UTC)
