Palestine
[edit]There's been a railway between Israel and Syria, as they have always been in war and Syria does not reckognize Israel. It must have been in the time of Palestine: [] --Supreme Deliciousness (talk) 11:39, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
- Palestine is not a country, and even if it was, it is not adjacent to Syria. there is a now-defunct rail line between Syria and Israel, which is adjacent. This is true whether or not the Syrian government wants to close its eyes to the existence or Israel . Tie Oh Cruise (talk) 00:47, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
Transport in Syria page and sub-pages

- What I think should be changed (include citations):
Transport in Syria page has been neglected so far. The transport in Syria is being significantly changed since the liberation.[1] The minister has mentioned Arab Mashreq International M45 Road[2], but the people misunderstood it as a new road in Syria because they do not know Mashreq roads or even exist. The old French numbering system is prefixed with M- for motorways (5 → M5, map services define[3]), but the officials persist calling Mashreq number only instead of the deprecated M- system. There are missing historical recitations in these sub-pages:
- M10 rehabilitation
- M45 rehabilitation[4]
- M45 Al-Rastan Bridge rehabilitation[5][6]
- Al-Rashid Bridge (Raqqa governorate) rehabiliation
- Damascus - Deir Al-Zor Road Upgrade
- Major roads to be mentioned other than motorways (e.g. Idlib - Ariha, Bab al-Hawa - Idlib, Aleppo - Gaziantep highways)
- Technical references to the events occurred on M15 road
- B.O.T North - South and East - West motorway projects
- Numerous numbers of open contracts for rehabilitating numerous numbers of central roads in Syria, published by Public Establishment of Road Communications[7]
- The road rehabilitation campaigns lead by the governorate councils to repair the deteriorated roads in their area.
Most references require further verifications and overland disclosures for precise descriptions, but they are from locally-known agencies (e.g. SANA, Syria.tv, Syrian News Channel), there not considerable to be technically accurate. That is why not referenced.
- Why it should be changed:
The multi-international readers must know the Arab Mashreq roads and the current state of transport in Syria. Syria is not sanctioned and neglected anymore. How do you drive in Syria while there is no information about roads in Syria! How can you follow Syrian news while the news is being posted among Syrians only! The Syrian map metadata depends on this wiki page.
