Kautilya3, the source in question is one of those spam sites that scrape content from elsewhere, it is not a reliable source. Among the original sources the piece is scraped from are TribuneIndia and Siasat Daily. – Thjarkur (talk) 17:22, 22 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Discussion: On Etymology

[edit]

Etymology section removed

I have removed the etymology section from this article. The section was entirely unsourced, with no reliable, independent, or verifiable sources provided to support any of the claims made. This is in violation of WP:V and WP:BURDEN. The section also had issues with WP:TONE.

I had previously raised this concern on the concerned (User: 2026-43727-39) editor's talk page, but received no response.

The section is welcome to be restored once reliable, published, and verifiable sources are provided to support the etymology. Until then, an unsourced section does more harm than good to the article.

I welcome input from any editor familiar with etymology. Tamir Nazir (talk) 10:39, 18 August 2026 (UTC)Reply
