[edit]

The "Beyond the sea" article states that Garrison received his bachelor's degree after his service in the U.S. Navy. This article says he earned the degree before service in the Navy.

This article also states that Garrison "joined the Naval Academy" after receiving his degree. There is nothing in the Beyond the sea article to support that he attended the Naval academy nor does that make much sense in the timeline or considering he received a bachelors degree from the University of Utah. Perhaps the Naval academy reference is actually meant to be about his service "within the Navy’s Service Schools Command," as stated in the source "Dr. Tom made his mark at Orange Coast College."

This article states that "He spent several years in the Navy during the Korean War before deciding to further his education." He was too young to have served in the Korean War and the sources do not say that he did. Rather, he must have served during the Vietnam War.

I am deleting the Naval academy and Korean War references. I can't cite a definitive source to resolve the contradictions between the two sources so I won't fill in alternative wording that seems almost certainly true (e.g. different war). Donner60 (talk) 02:50, 28 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
