Poor Academic Control

[edit]

Under his watch, the OU has employed at least two members of the lunatic-fringe as tutors. One of these was 'Viv' Pope, an anti-Einstein crackpot who also denied Newton's laws of motion and claimed that bodies naturally moved in circles rather than straight lines. See http://www.vivpope.org/. By the way, this site claims that he was a 'telecommunications engineer'. That conjures up entirely the wrong image. He was in fact the sort of engineer that ones finds up a ladder wearing a donkey-jacket stained with pigeon-droppings. The other crackpot that the OU saw fit to employ is Andrew Johnson, author of this nonsense, https://www.amazon.co.uk/911-Finding-Truth-Andrew-Johnson-ebook/dp/B007RPTQTC. This is based upon the opinions of the possibly insane materials-scientist, Dr[sic] Judy Wood who claims that the World Trade Centre was destroyed by a death-ray based upon the 'Hutchison Effect'. Here is Mr Hutchison (go to Part 7) https://www.altpropulsion.com/events/apec-1-29-evos-gravity-theory-john-hutchison/ Draw your own conclusions concerning this pathetic madman.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.17.192.214 (talk) 11:03, 13 February 2022 (UTC) Note: since the above comment was added, all references to Mr Hutchison have been removed from the APEC website.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.14.41.137 (talk) 21:15, 16 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
