This article is extremely biased and only speaks about the city of Tikrit in the context of warfare, particularly American and ISIS operations. Yes, the city has a history linked the Ba'athism yet the projects and investment that were poured into the city during that era are barely mentioned beyond footnotes. No malls are mentioned, no mosques, none of the high schools, just war incidents. This was once one of the wealthiest towns in Iraq with many pieces of notable infrastructure built during the 1970s and 1980s. And today it is the site of many new suburban developments such as the Jewel Complex which are not mentioned on this article either.
