I am new to this, and its obvious. I found some neat stuff about the use of the term 'vernacular music' and was lead around to this. There are occasional references to 'vernacular music research' in various books and album liner notes.

How do I make this article meaningful and organized?

How do I find references that maybe only deep jazz cats are familiar with?

I think I am in over my head but I added what I could.
