Legacy nonsense

[edit]

If Benjamin Rush was a descendant of the "eponymous" son of Thomas Rush, also Thomas (which son, as here we have been told, was the offspring of Thomas Rush's own marriage), how then can it be a "misconception" to think that Benjamin Rush, signer of the Declaration, was a descendant of Thomas Rush the elder, subject of this article? Surely it is no misconception? Is one not descended from his father's father, or indeed from his father's father's father? Eebahgum (talk) 19:44, 10 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
