The Rookie (TV series)The Rookie – The TV series is the clear primary topic for "The Rookie". See WikiNav data and pageviews here. The Rookie is currently not even its own page but a redirect to Rookie (disambiguation). Thanks, Glasspalace (talkcontribs) 09:43, 24 December 2025 (UTC)  Relisting. Jeffrey34555 (talk) 00:38, 31 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Note that the pageviews link in the original nomination had excluded The Rookie (painting); this has since been fixed. Thanks, Glasspalace (talkcontribs) 09:56, 24 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Oppose The Rookie is currently not even its own page but a redirect to Rookie (disambiguation) Yes, because "The Rookie" is just as much of a disambiguation as "Rookie", they're the same term, hence they are combined into one disambiguation page. At Rookie (disambiguation), I see seven entries (not including plural) titled "The Rookie", hence disambiguation is clearly needed for all of them. -- Alex_21 TALK 03:14, 31 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
Per WP:SMALLDETAILS "The Rookie" is a separate term from "Rookie" (see Prestige versus The Prestige), and I'm making the case that the TV series is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for the term "The Rookie" due to it far eclipsing the others in long-term significance and pageviews. Thanks, Glasspalace (talkcontribs) 03:50, 31 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
Interesting example with The Prestige, as the film article should probably the primary topic over the book! --woodensuperman 11:18, 2 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Should this image be added?

[edit]

I created this image of John Nolan’s badge. Wanted to gain a consensus before adding it, especially since I created the image. Regards, a most likely very cozy Cooldood5555 ✈️ (let's talk) 22:16, 31 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Fun work, but not of relevance to the article. Could do well on fan sites and dedicated "The Rookie wiki:s". Arcsoda (talk) 09:20, 15 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

"Notable guests" - (fan)cruft?

[edit]

Do we need to list all of this 8-season show's "notable guests"? The list is mostly uncited, and the ones that are cited are mostly to primary sources. Perhaps we could find sources for all the guests but do we really need all of this when the season pages also show guest stars in each episode? Also, the "crossover characters" section should probbaly list what other media the characters are crossing over with. MSG17 (talk) 15:27, 23 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. Arcsoda (talk) 09:21, 15 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Naming inconsistencies

[edit]

There is a blend of naming male characters by first or last name, between the characters. Female officers suffer the same confusion, whereas female officers and generally first name mentioned, as opposed to the mix among male officer characters. At the very least, all officer characters should be named consistently by last name as in the show. Arcsoda (talk) 09:17, 15 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
