I'm a bit surprised that the talk page of such a large, almost six-year-old article on such a controversial topic is still completely untouched. Looks like the issue hasn't made such a splash in the English-speaking world as it has in the French-speaking and some other parts of the world.
I wanted to make a suggestion about the way the anonymous author(s) are being referred to. I understand that we shouldn't take the word "committee" at face value and take it for granted that there really are multiple authors. Of course it could be an individual. On the other hand, the permanent repetition of an unusual form like "the author(s)" is tiring to read and feels like hammering the point. Moreover, it leads to awkward things like "the author(s)' main purpose" (there is simply no way to combine the words "author's" and "authors'" in a correct and easily readable way). That's why I suggest either using "the authors" throughout, with a note at the beginning that it could well be a single author. Or, conversely, to use "the author", with a note that it could also be a collective author. --Prügelprinz (talk) 14:10, 7 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
