[edit]Renoir is the author of a famous painting owned by the Barnes collection that also goes by the name The Chocolate Cup, hence the date dab. I will be creating that painting soon. Viriditas (talk) 02:19, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
- Barnes is calling it Cup of Chocolate (Femme prenant du chocolat), so perhaps the 1878 is not needed. Viriditas (talk) 02:26, 9 May 2023 (UTC)
