In / to the east of the village there is the Dollard, which is separated of the Ems estuary by the peninsula Punt van Reide.

The "Punt of Reide" is a Dutch peninsula, which belongs to the municipality of Delfzijl, between the Dollard and the Ems near Termunten. The headland is a remnant of the bank of the Ems not washed away by the floods. (Google translate) --129.69.140.138 (talk) 18:37, 17 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
