    • In my time in the military, I worked at a map warehouse for a short time, and recall dealing with TACs; I'm no expert, but I do think it should be moved back to caps. Parsecboy (talk) 13:27, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

There's more than one terminal area chart, so it's not a proper noun according to my dictionary (OED): "a noun that designates an individual person, place, organization, animal, ship, etc., and is usually written with an initial capital letter". Sam Staton (talk) 19:56, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

There's more than one Sam, or Nancy, or Susan. That doesn't make them not proper nouns. Each TAC is very much a proper noun. 199.125.109.102 (talk) 20:58, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Just noticed this capitalization convention is also used at Globally Unique Identifier (GUID, also not a proper noun), although Graphical user interface (GUI) uses lower case. Not sure if the GUID page is "wrong"? ... Sam Staton (talk) 20:05, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
