Assistant teachers

[edit]

Paraeducators, or paraprofessionals, are another assistant found in American classrooms. Paraeducators can be assigned to offer additional support to a single student or they can support the classroom teacher by taking on a more general support role.[1]</ref> At times, the paraeducator may co-teach with the classroom teacher or take on the responsibilities of the classroom teacher. Another support they offer all students in the classroom is by modeling positive interactions with the classroom teacher.[2]</ref> Some paraeducator positions require completion of 60 college hours.

Teaching in South Africa

[edit]

In South Africa, educators require a formal qualification to teach (BEd). This qualification is obtained at a university that offers education as a four year course.

Once students obtain Thier qualification (degree), they can formally start teaching.

An average teacher in South Africa get a monthly salary of R15 678.99. 41.114.250.43 (talk) 00:18, 30 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
