Possibly for expansion or clarification. Puget Sound Business Journal 7/22/2016 states that J.Y. Waldrip 1890-1929 was the first generation of ownership; then Eugene and Florence (Waldrip) Taylor 1929-1966; then Edwin Taylor 1966-1984/Justin Taylor 1984-2011. Present corporate structure is Taylor United, a holding (?) company for Taylor Shellfish Company, which owns the Taylor Shellfish Farms brand.

A 1952 Washington Supreme Court case Waldrip v. Olympia Oyster Co. might be able to shed more light on early history; it appears the Waldrips (first J.Y., then his wife Zora) were presidents of the Olympia Oyster Company, but ceased to hold leadership positions in 1932. ☆ Bri (talk) 05:16, 1 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
