Gillow furniture

[edit]

Waring & Gillow are only distantly the successors of Robert Gillow the Younger, last of the Gillows at Gillow's. Robert Gillow might be the better link. --Wetman (talk) 23:41, 30 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

I had originally planned a link to Robert Gillow but as the Robert to which the article refers died in 1772, and most if not all the furniture was bought at a later date, it did not seem appropriate. What do editors think is the best solution? Peter I. Vardy (talk) 09:36, 31 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've made a small amendment which I hope will adequately deal with the above. Peter I. Vardy (talk) 16:49, 31 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
There's now an article for Gillows of Lancaster and London, which should cover the period in question. -Thoughtfortheday (talk) 16:35, 9 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
