Altered sentence needs correction (Jan 2012)

1940 Blenheim crash (May 2025)
[edit]One forum from Nov 2017 indicates that near Cauldhame (farm), on 03 Sep 1940, two Bristol Blenheims collided, and crashed a mile apart. A total of five crew were killed: 2 in one, 3 in another. One aircraft lost a wing in the collision (2,000 to 3,000 feet (610 to 910 m)) and the other immediately exploded, and both were completely burnt out. Based on records from the National Archives. I do not doubt this but cannot find reliable sources.
A 2012 update to the Pitmedden wikiarticle stated: During the excavation of a Transco gas Pipeline, wreckage from two aircraft that crashed was found near Pitmedden. The Pitmedden incident was a different single-aircraft crash. The Transco location may to be Tarves, and part of the above incident.–Q8682 (talk) 09:43, 16 May 2026 (UTC)
