we really can't use they? theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/they) 06:17, 15 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

(S)he (he or she) means '3rd person, singular'. They, in contemporary English, means '3rd person' (either singular or plural), and in the context of giving the meanings of sentences in another language, there is the strong implication that it specifically refers to the plural. So, we can't use they here because that will be either incorrect or misleading. – Uanfala (talk) 14:25, 15 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
