tropical cyclones in tanzania

[edit]

CoI: I am a coauthor on the paper below. Tropical cyclones rarely make landfall in Tanzania, but recently there have been occurrences. It may be useful to include in the climate section of this page reference to this paper which discusses historical occurrences of cyclones: https://journals.ametsoc.org/view/journals/hydr/22/9/JHM-D-21-0017.1.xml The key recent example is Hidaya, and this post from the regional climate centre references this paper I'm suggesting when describing that event https://x.com/IGAD_CPAC/status/1786304672937939111 DecFinney (talk) 11:01, 16 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Religion statistics

[edit]

Who keep putting up these figures when Tanzanian government has not done any statistics since 1960's? This is a farce 85.241.253.192 (talk) 10:50, 20 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

The main article is very clear the numbers are not from the Tanzanian Government. REPOA / Afrobarometer as well as the CIA are publicly available and fairly reliable sources for estimates available which is what is cited across the article. Sputink (talk) 19:04, 20 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

De facto official language listed as if it's legally sanctioned.

[edit]

I don’t think a non–de jure official language should be listed as the official language in the infobox, as common readers may assume it's legally sanctioned in local law or the constitution. I suggest adding an additional parameter to accommodate this distinction. Nusantara khalif (talk) 01:14, 15 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
