Etymology
[edit]Given that the genus is from East Asia, it is more likely that it is named in honor of some person named Tanaka. Dysmorodrepanis (talk) 02:00, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
- The original source was FishBase, but name origin statements for that Genus have been removed, likely as they were erroneous. I have removed the statement about Swahili origins of the name. Neil916 (Talk) 04:43, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
