TaixuShi Taixu – In the religious historical tradition of Chinese Han Buddhism, the surname of monks is "Shi". Huangdan2060 (talk) 13:48, 26 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

RM opened after similar undiscussed move of Xuyun shows it is contested per WP:HONORIFICS. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 18:33, 26 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Oppose and revert move. It's abundantly clear that Taixu is the common name, with 2,430 English-language results on a Google Scholar search, in comparison with a mere 34 results for "Shi Taixu". Unilaterally moving the article, as the nominator has done (diff), without a policy-based rationale or prior discussion was inappropriate and should be reverted. --Grnrchst (talk) 11:37, 27 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
