It's many years since I lived there, but I do remember a few factoids, at least some of which might warrant inclusion in the article at some point:

Tacolneston Hall might be notable – see Boileau Baronets and also http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=%22tacolneston+hall%22
the church is far removed from the centre of the village, which I remember being told was as a result of the black death
alternative spelling Tacolnestone and alternative pronunciation (pronounced /ˈtækəlstuːn/), possibly tending more towards the north of the village
etymology of the place name derived from Tas (the river Tas is nearby), colne (possibly meaning either hill or river), and ston (meaning place or settlement).
