No, because as you have pointed out, the name of the brand is just "Tabasco" and not "Tabasco Sauce". The "sauce" here is just a descriptor and not part of the brand name. Rreagan007 (talk) 22:34, 30 December 2021 (UTC)

As it is commonly referred to as "Tabasco sauce", no one familiar with the topic of the article would be confused by the current title, and that is the standard that we use. From Wikipedia:Article titles: "The title is a name or description of the subject that someone familiar with, although not necessarily an expert in, the subject area will recognize." "It" being what exactly? Because as Philoserf points out below, "Tabasco sauce" usually just refers to the original recipe, while Tabasco brand sauce refers to the entire catalogue of condiments. _{ZXCVBNM (TALK)} 00:31, 1 January 2022 (UTC)

• Support—The article covers the brands many sauces, plural. The brand offers sauces, marinades, condiments, and other products that are not food. Edits for "Uses"

I found what seem to be a few errors in the "Uses" section, specifically under "Cookbooks". I edited the article accordingly, to the best of my knowledge. These are the statements I thought had issues:

• "During the Vietnam War, Brigadier General Walter S. McIlhenny issued The Charlie Ration Cookbook." - This is true (though it's perhaps more correct to say "the McIlhenny Company issued..."), but it cites the NPR feature "TABASCO's Hot History", and that does not mention the cookbook (in both the audio and text forms). However, Caitlin Kearney's article for the National Museum of American History does describe that cookbook, so I substituted the NPR article with Kearney's article..
• "[The Charlie Ration Cookbook] instructed troops...to make such meals as 'Combat Canapés'..." - The cookbook does not include the former recipe. This seems to be part of a later cookbook from the Gulf War. (It does include the other recipe mentioned, "Breast of Chicken under Bullets.")
• "This cookbook came...in a camouflaged, water-resistant container." - The sources used for this section do not mention it being camouflaged, though I do not discount the possibility that another source mentions this. For now, it's cut.

I'm guessing that this refers to changing your user name per WP:NAMEGUIDE. Your name closely resembles the brand I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!. — ERcheck (talk) 01:01, 25 May 2025 (UTC)
