Between 2019 and 2020, Sytner Group undertook a restructuring of its dealership network, reducing its Volkswagen portfolio through the sale of several sites as part of a strategy to strengthen its representation of high-performance and ultra-luxury automotive brands within its dealership portfolioVertu Motors acquires four Sytner Group Volkswagen dealerships | AM-online. In 2021, the group expanded its presence in the ultra-luxury segment, particularly through its Rolls-Royce Motor Cars dealership operations. In 2022, Sytner Group completed a number of acquisitions. The group acquired Specialist Cars, adding BMW and MINI dealerships in Stevenage, Luton and Tring to its network. In 2024, Sytner completed the acquisition of the Rybrook Group, adding approximately 15 dealerships to its portfolio. These included franchises representing BMW, MINI, Volvo, Porsche and Land Rover Sytner to acquire AM100 dealer Rybrook | Car dealer news

Also in 2024, Sytner Group rebranded its UK CarShop used car supermarket division as Sytner Select, following its acquisition of the business in 2017 CarShop | Say Hello to Sytner Select. In January 2025, John Cragg took on the role of CEO of Sytner Group About Sytner Group | Sytner Group.
