[edit]

I think the infobox gives the wrong impression that the Salvation Government was an organized force from the start of the revolution and that al-Sharaa was a primary figure head from the start too. I think it eliminates an understanding of the revolution of over-decade-long rotating doors of figures and groups (some revolutionaries and some not-revolutionaries-but-against-Assad [like how al-Sharaa started off as). It needs to be worked on Remikipedia (talk) 01:37, 20 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Discussion regarding civilian leaders and condensing the lede

[edit]

Because of the suggestion of the reversion I am basically going to describe something the article needs

firstly, the inclusion of civilian resistance. The Syrian revolution puts a lot of focus on the civilian aspect as it was how the revolution began in the first place. Key figures that led the local coordination committees (who helped protests get off the ground and mobilise them) as well as civilian leaders should be mentioned as they are the origins of the revolution

secondly, condensing the lede. As it stands now it is chaotic and a lot of the points are repeated. My version could be improved but I feel it is a good starting point The Great Mule of Eupatoria (talk) 06:46, 7 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
