Systemic Human rights violations of Sami People: Segregation and Torture

[edit]

It is recently reported that Sweden failed to uphold basic human right and gross violation and mistreatment of Sami people and deny their basic rights. Sweden must apologise for harm done to Sami people (Guardian, 20 September 2026).

Does anyone agree the inclusion of religion statistics for Sweden?

[edit]

I made an edit that added religious statistics (2021) in Sweden, which was reverted with justification as "this was omitted before", what does it mean? Countries like Norway, Finland, etc. have religious information (remembered that some countries doesn't have), why doesn't Sweden? JPPEDRA2 why not? 20:10, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

There is a section about religion further down in the article and I don't see the need to add it to the infobox as well. It's not included in all country articles, as an example the Germany-infobox doesn't have any info about religion. Check out this discussion: FrinkMan (talk) 22:17, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Alright. JPPEDRA2 why not? 22:21, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

National anthem

[edit]

"Du gamla, du fria" is translated as "Thou ancient, thou free". Why the archaic biblical English? "Du" is just the regular Swedish word for "you", and the article on the song itself translates it as "You ancient, you free" in the lede. Shouldn't we translate it that way in the infobox? Sweden-Norway

[edit]

On the history part of the Infobox, I believe the union of Sweden-Norway should be listed, or at least its Dissolution. Eidsroll (talk) 22:43, 26 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
