Why isn't Suriyenthrathibodi considered part of the Prasat Thong dynasty?

If he's the son of Narai, therefore his descendants (Thai Sa, Borommakot, Uthumphon, and Ekkathat) would've also been part of the Prasat Thong dynasty right? Yourlocallordandsavior (talk) 22:31, 20 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

The Early life section appears to have been added by Rqiang84 in 2020. It's still unsourced, but cross checking with the Thai Wikipedia, the claim of Suea being an illegitimate son of Narai's appears to come from versions of the Royal Chronicles recompiled in the early Rattanakosin period, over a century later. Suea is pretty much vilified in these compilations (they gave him the name after all), and many historians today tend to treat their claims with scepticism. The article should be adjusted to qualify the claims about his birth as such. In any case, even if the claim were to be accepted at face value, as an illegitimate child he wouldn't be considered a member of the dynasty, nor would his progeny, at least according to European views of the concept. --Paul_012 (talk) 18:25, 25 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
