Time

[edit]

i disagree with the decision to remove the time from this page. This is not a standard TV show that might be broadcast at different times in different regions, it is a major LIVE sporting event that people typically want to watch in real time. "What time is the Super Bowl" is a common web search query and the Wikipedia page about the super bowl should answer that. Perhaps the generic "TV show" template is not the correct choice here. Peacock streaming

[edit]

Peacock will be streaming Super Bowl XL in the upconverted 4K HDR format, with Dolby Atmos audio. Of course to watch this, you will need a 4K TV, and to get Atmos you will need the associated audio equipment. Without this equipment you can still stream the game, just in a lessor format based on your equipment.

The upconversion comes from a native 1080p production, and is done at the network level before distribution to the Peacock stream. ~2026-25823-5 (talk) 21:45, 18 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Home and Visitor Conferences not visible in Infobox

[edit]

Why are the "vistor_conf" and "home_conf" values not visible in the NFL game infobox?

I came to this article to see which conference would be the designated home team for Super Bowl LX. I was disappointed that I couldn't find that information in this article.

One thought I had was to add that info to the infobox. But it appears the "visitor_conf" and "home_conf" values are already filled in. Despite that, I don't see the conferences displayed in the infobox. Seitz (talk) 19:15, 20 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Slight error under game notes

[edit]

Change “The game was a rematch of Super Bowl XLIX” to “The game will be a rematch of Super Bowl XLIX” as the game has not been played yet. GtgWikiEdits404 (talk) 03:09, 26 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Done I added it with the supplied source. DrOrinScrivello (talk) 14:16, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
it should be under a cable category as it is not broadcast. See prior super bowl pages ~2026-53064-7 (talk) 17:28, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
actually broadcast should be renamed TV like the page of two years ago. As cable is not the only way to get pay television channels like universo. ~2026-53064-7 (talk) 17:30, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Done Okay, I think it should be good now. Hopefully. I'd rather not mess with it again, ha. DrOrinScrivello (talk) 17:40, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
whether it is in the info box or the actual article, can it mention it will also be available through the NBC and NBC Sports websites and apps through mobile devices with authentication? ~2026-53064-7 (talk) 19:52, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
That's not supported by either of your supplied sources, and I'm of the opinion that the existing text that it is streaming on Peacock is sufficient, but I'll leave your request open in case someone else wants to action it. DrOrinScrivello (talk) 20:29, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

many people don't have peacock but access through their pay TV provider credentials while on the go on mobile. Been like this for a decade. Same thing for Olympics ~2026-53064-7 (talk) 21:27, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Propose removing the TPUSA section absent sourced context

[edit]

TPUSA section is completely unsourced and lacks discussion of its political context. A discussion of it in regards to the (re-)emergence of MAGA could be argued warranted, but that requires thorough (sourced) context of its existence as a reaction to a latino half-time performer (a performer who, to be clear, is an american citizen) and the right-wing view of "mass deportations" of non-citizens, ICE, et cetera.

The section as-is, without sources or context whatsoever, implies an equal weight between it and the super bowl program itself. However, its own claimed 6 million viewer rating is a drop in the bucket compared to the >100M viewers who consistently watch the actual Super Bowl. That alone suggests it lacks relevance to be presented as-is. With this current context, as well as this article's certain inclusion at the top of WP:ITN in the coming hours, allowing such a section to exist as-is without sources whatsoever would violate WP:NPOV due to the aforementioned implication of equal weight in this youtube video with the actual Super Bowl itself. Jamiethebnnuy (talk) 06:58, 9 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Also why is it under the "half time show" section? It was not a half time show. ~2026-88583-8 (talk) 11:12, 9 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
It was an alt-shw.
Also the sources are from the link in tht section.Psephguru (talk) 12:34, 9 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
I've pulled it. It has its own article, and it's got a properly contextualised link in the main article about the actual halftime show; it's WP:UNDUE here. GenevieveDEon (talk) 13:57, 9 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Well, someone put the Waffen-Time Show back in again, perhaps would be best to remove, and lock page so sad Trumpers won't vandalize again. ~2025-34282-08 (talk) 21:59, 9 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yes, good idea. I guess it's an occurrence of pro-Trump vandalism. We are a large majority, arn't we? Those cases of vandalism are not acceptable. A lover of all puppies big and small, also known as RimesWithOrange (talk) 00:04, 10 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
It's more relevant to Super Bowl LX halftime show, where it's already mentioned. The actual SB page should just be high level, based off the halftime show's lead section using summary style. —Bagumba (talk) 08:39, 10 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
This was my position, but I accepted that a brief mention here probably wasn't worth fighting over. GenevieveDEon (talk) 08:44, 10 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Change improper use of semicolon:

"The AFC Championship Game pitted the Patriots against the top seeded Denver Broncos, who were starting backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham after starter Bo Nix suffered an ankle injury in the previous round; an overtime victory against the Buffalo Bills."

To a hyphen:

"The AFC Championship Game pitted the Patriots against the top seeded Denver Broncos, who were starting backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham after starter Bo Nix suffered an ankle injury in the previous round - an overtime victory against the Buffalo Bills."
