Thoughts on title/scope
[edit]The terms "Sunday reading periodical" or "Sunday periodical" are found in several sources, but they're far from universal. Another similar term is "improving magazines" (see e.g. ). Renaming the article to a descriptive title like "Religious periodicals in Victorian Britain" is another option, though the magazines that this is intended to cover are more like "quasi-religious". One other term that comes up in this area is "family" magazines/periodicals. Colin M (talk) 23:34, 3 October 2021 (UTC)
Source for expanding list
[edit]NB: Rosemary Scott's 1992 thesis has a huge appendix of Victorian "religious periodicals" (though some are noted as "likely to have been excluded from Sunday reading in stricter households"). Appendix A starting on page 254. At the very least, it's a useful source for filling in metadata for periodicals mentioned in other sources. Colin M (talk) 16:09, 17 October 2021 (UTC)
