The characterization of the glass fiber as 'very long (several meters)' seems wrong. Looking at the included picture it is clear that the length of fiber in the instrument itself was only maybe 15 cm or so, regardless of how long the originally-produced fiber was.

This assertion signed by 66.129.224.36, is completely true, there is no room in the machine for (several meters of filament).. (of course, regardless of how long the originally-produced fiber was) so I've corrected it..--Mcapdevila (talk) 22:59, 24 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
