Anglo-Boer War of 1899 - 1902

[edit]

Schoeman could not have fought in the Anglo-Boer War of 1899 - 1902 as he died in 1890 (see af:Stephanus Schoeman). Perhaps he was involved in the First Boer War which took place between 16 December 1880 and 23 March 1881. Laurens-af 15:00, 6 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
On reading the article in its present condition, it clearly states that it was not Stephanus Schoeman who fought in the Anglo-Boer War but his son Hendrik Schoeman. Is there still a problem? Can anyone tell me which Schoeman it was after whom Schoemansville (now Hartbeespoort) was named? I think the article on Hartbeespoort could usefully have that addition.
