Nobby?

[edit]

"Rudd's shingle hut can still be seen at the town of Nobby Queensland." How sure are we about this? Can someone find a reference or maybe visit Nobby and see if it is there? I'm asking because i visited Nobby several times a few decades ago and don't remember seeing the hut. Nobby is such a small town you could hardly miss something like that. In any case i thought the selection was 5 to 10km out of town, over near the New England Highway, rather than actually at Nobby. I don't remember seeing the hut over there either, though there was a table built very crudely from big solid timber sitting in the open in a paddock and this was supposed to be the kitchen table actually used by "Steele Rudd" and family. 203.164.223.20 10:44, 28 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

On our selection was not written by Rudd Steele but was rather an amalgamation of some of his stories by playwright Bert Bailey who later rose to fame playing Dad Rudd in the 1932 film version. Plumes (talk) 00:35, 7 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
