Patent
[edit]The patent was obviously issued, but I'm confused, because I thought that to patent something you had to reduce the invention to practice; and there have presumably not been any statites actually created. Tempshill (talk) 19:27, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
A design is enough for most inventions, the one main exception is that the US Patent Office requires a working model of any perpetual motion machine. 65.95.199.14 (talk) 03:45, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
priority
[edit]Hugh Daniel privately claimed to have invented statites before Forward, but that he didn't think it worth the trouble of challenging the patent. I have no idea if this can be backed up. —Tamfang (talk) 06:42, 29 November 2019 (UTC)
