Why is electrical or audio noise called "static"?
[edit]Is the term derived from "static electricity"? If so, what exactly is the connection? Wikipedia seems to contain no answer to this question. BTW I asked the same question on the discussion page for the article "White noise". -- 89.182.88.149 (talk) 09:38, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
Why isn't "Static" by FLAVOR FOLEY listed in the music section?
