That does not necessarily mean it needs to be included in this article. I don't read Korean, but the combinatorics formulas in that article seem more geared to finite sets and hence of more limited interest. The main importance of the concepts in this particular article is how they relate to various variants of paracompactness. PatrickR2 (talk) 03:48, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Strongly paracompact may not belong here

An anonymous editor has recently added a lot information about star-finite covers and strongly paracompact spaces. These are different notions, not directly related to star refinement. In particular, star refinements are NOT used in the definition of strongly paracompact spaces, contrary to what the lead claims.

Please clarify what you meant. If not, I will delete this material, especially all the additional properties and examples related to strongly paracompact, which don't belong to this article. PatrickR2 (talk) 06:07, 23 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
